Poor glycemic control could be the main factor impacting testosterone levels in diabetic males

Males with diabetes mellitus have been reported to low serum testosterone levels relative the general population. This study aimed explore impact of glycemic control, duration (in years), comorbidities, and complications on in different age groups. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from files lab results 350 diabetic male patients at King Salman Armed Forces Hospital Saudi Arabia. We obtained about their age, levels, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), coexisting comorbidities (if present), complications. Patients this found significantly lower than average population by looking each factor independently, we come find that control was only substantially males. Moreover, poor (HbA1c ≥7%) Alone associated regardless presence other factors such as micro/macrovascular In conclusion, not significant effect unless accompanied control. Along finding, further studies are required better understand exact mechanism control’s levels.
